Electrical Project Engineer for high power Gearless Mill Drive Systems (80-100%)

Working as a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for various system and service engineering projects for large
electrical drives for the minerals and building material industry in the Process Industries division. In this role, you
will make technical recommendations/decisions in various phases of international customer projects to ensure successful
delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines. Providing
technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals. The position reports to the Team Lead GMD System
Engineering.

Your responsibilities
- Hardware & software engineering of electrical MV-drive systems
- Preparation of corresponding technical documentation
- Coordinate technical issues during the project execution and participate in technical discussions with customers and
suppliers
- Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project
- Assume responsibility for the commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical drives
- Inspections & factory acceptance tests
- Conduct customer trainings
- Provide technical support to sales and project management
- Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners,
subcontractors, and vendors
- Assisting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards
- Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline
- Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites all over the world
Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in electrical engineering or degree from a technical college with a focus on drive or
energy technology (graduates welcome)
- Sound knowledge in the field of electrical drives and, ideally familiarity with medium-voltage converters
(cycloconverter, direct converter, frequency converter) is an advantage.
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Willingness to travel for worldwide commissioning and service activities (30-40%)
- Fluency in English, Spanish is an asset
