Are you a motivated, self-driven personality looking for a new challenge in a global business context? As part of
Motion Services, our Service Supply Unit in Switzerland is looking for an Modernization Engineering Team leader who is
ready to apply his skills and enthusiasm to create value and superior experience for our customers. In this position,
you will be responsible to lead an engineering team which is ensuring high quality modernizations and customizations of
mission critical Medium voltage drive systems. You will lead direct reports from design-, mechanical-, electrical- and
application software engineering as well as order handling. Additionally, you ensure in this position a close
collaboration and smooth execution with stakeholders from other functions such as Sales, Project Management, Expert
Services, Factory, R&D and more peers from other units. In this versatile role, you ensure the team’s planning,
development, and achieving of its goals in an forward looking manner, always seeking for new and better ways. If you

Your responsibilities
- Leading & developing your team in an entrepreneurial manner (Personal, planning, financial and technical aspects)
- Providing guidance and ensuring the implementation of strategic goals by translating the same into team goals.
Support and/or leading own strategic initiatives
- Attraction, identification and development of talents
- Enabling, empowering and coaching the team to deliver high-quality, on-time modernization projects to customers
- Ensuring the application of highest Safety and Integrity standards
- Ensuring continuous improvement of processes, solutions and tools by valuing, creating and implementing feedback and
best practices
Your background
- At least Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering with several years of experience in customer related projects
(Experience in leading people and drives technology are advantageous)
- Proven skills and/or strong motivation for mastering Organizational- and managerial challenges
- You are decisive, customer centric and able to analyse/resolve complex problems efficiently
- You lead people with empathy and empowerment. You value and cultivate a culture of taking ownership, driving
innovation and maximizing diversity
- Motivated, Self-driven and innovative personality. Ability to share the same with the team
- Setting priorities and maintaining clarity on the big picture during increased pressure to act persists
- Cooperative, professional and effective communication style
- High degree of intercultural awareness and ability to network/cooperate globally
- Knowledge about ERP, CAD and other process-supporting tools
- Fluent in English (German and other languages advantageous)
