Power Systems Engineering Manager (80-100%)

The Engineering Manager leads a team of power system engineers in the mining and minerals processing industries,
guiding, and coaching them, and developing their skills and knowledge. In this role, you will oversee engineering
projects, delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and timely engineering solutions to customers, in line with the
contract, safety and quality requirements. This function will report to the head of engineering of the division process
industries, local business line Mining, Switzerland.

Your responsibilities
- Ensuring that the engineering team is adequately resourced and equipped, including formulating plans and allocating
resources
- Identifying required advancement in knowledge and skills of the team and plan for improvement and actions
- Developing and driving continuous improvement to optimize processes, policies, and procedures
- Interacting with other departments such as sales, project management or R&D for forecasting of activities and
workload planning
- Working closely with customers to shape and deliver technical solutions in collaboration with sales department on
strategically important opportunities
- Assisting in the allocation of budget for the engineering cost center and managing business performance
- Working with the Procurement & Logistics team to ensure that appropriate suppliers, services, and equipment are
available
Your background
- 5+ years of experience in the field of power systems, working as team lead, senior project engineer or project lead
engineer
- Sound knowledge in energy distribution concepts, power quality, electrical network studies, sizing and specifying of
primary equipment, secondary control, and protection
- Experience in the EPCM business is a plus
- A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken
communication skills
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with focus on power distribution or similar field
- Fluency in English, other languages are a plus
