Product Specialist MV Drives, System Drives (80-100%)

smart motion. You will be working as a MV Drives Product Specialist and will be part of the Product Management Team. In
this role, you will be reporting to the Center of Excellence (CoE) Switzerland Product Management Manager and will be
supporting the portfolio development of MV Drives and ancillary equipment portfolio, supporting the System Drives 2025
strategy, and providing a superior customer experience for customer, partners and ABB sales teams. The Product
Specialist MV Drives will play a key role within the CoE Product Management team. You will perform various activities
in the product life cycle of the products under the responsibility of the CoE Switzerland.
Your responsibilities
- Leading the portfolio of the ancillary equipment for MV Drives in collaboration with the PG Packaging team, by
taking ownership of the portfolio performance in the dimensions of market, quality and cost
- Supporting to manage the MV Drive portfolio development and product life cycle
- Identifying new development or enhancements and creating innovative solutions to meet customer needs
- Actively and systematically managing the long- and short-term roadmap of the product portfolio in order to capture
growth areas
- Collaborating with internal teams (i.e., Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Research & Development, Supply Chain,
and Logistics) to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction and profitability, while identifying
opportunities for optimization
- Ensuring reliability and maintain competitiveness of the offering in close collaboration with the PG Packaging and
Global Product Managers
- Tracking product quality and assisting with the resolution of customer issues
Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent area of studies
- Ideally, 2+ years industry experience
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of value proposition development
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High sense of responsibility and commitment
- Understanding of customer engagement and Service business
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
