Master Thesis (Control)

In this role you will be working on the topic of high power converter for high current applications.
Your responsibilities
- Perform a literature review on high power converter topologies design and control
- Develop a system simulation model in Matlab/Simulink of the selected topologies
- Development of current sharing control and gate signal generation for the semiconductors of the new topology
- Implement the control in the existing control platform AC 800PEC
- Develop a protection concept for the lab prototype as a part of the control implementation
- Document the background, development work and results in a report
Your background
- Currently pursuing a master degree in electrical engineering; official enrollment essential
- Sound knowledge of power electronics and its control
- Experience with simulations software, e.g., Simulink, PLECS, and good understanding of power systems are desirable
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Structured thinking and working
- Proficiency in English (written & oral)
- German is a plus
