We are looking for a Lean Manufacturing Specialist (f/m) in our Birr factory, reporting to the Lean Manager. In this
role, you are responsible to drive the continuous improvement and Lean activities for the factory, in partnership with
the Production Managers and their teams, leading production process simplification and transformation projects and
initiatives.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Apply consistenty Lean strategies, tools and and standards to drive continuous improvement in the Birr Factory
- Use VSM (Value Stream Map) to get focus and set priorities
- Inspire during the Execution of Kaizen Events and Lean AWO`s to observe, understand and evaluate improvement areas
in the production processes
- Support the definition and generation of the Lean Transformation Plan and follow it
- Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and
standardization
- Coach and transfer knowledge to employees
- Coordinate and implementate training measures of lean tools for manufacturing and administration areas
- Demonstrate excellent persuasion and influencing skills that ensures alignment within production
- Be responsible for KPI Provision and Reporting
- Support lean deployment to drive production process lead-time and cash / cost improvements
- Partner with the Production Managers and their teams to define the key value streams that will have the greatest
impact on the business and the customer
- Establish appropriate operating rhythms with key stake holders to communicate progress, provide coaching and plan
action workouts
- Seek, share and institutionalize best practices
Qualifications / Requirements
- Proven experience and results in Lean or similar operational role
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Very good written and oral communication in English and German
- Knowledge and practical application of Lean deployment & Tools
- Experience on conducting Kaizen Events and Lean work outs
