This position reports to
Head of Electrical Converter Engineering
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will take on technical responsibility for cyber security within the growing System Drives market,
helping shape our business as a Cyber Security Project Engineer for Medium Voltage Drives. You will play a key role in
executing client projects in applications such as metals, renewable energy, test stands, and oil and gas, focusing on
the network connections between MV Drives, subcomponents, and customer systems. Additionally, you will lead the
introduction of ABB Crealizer within the project engineering team, defining concepts, documentation, and libraries to
enhance customization of the MV Drives portfolio. You will collaborate closely with product management, R&D, and the
special applications team to drive innovation and improvements. Are you a team player with a passion for innovation and

be mainly accountable for: • Designing and documenting network topologies for medium voltage drives, including control
units, fieldbus adapters, gateways, switches, engineering tools, and third-party components. • Supporting the sales
team during the tendering phase and leading customer-specific cyber security FATs while attending technical meetings to
address requirements. • Interacting with the global cyber security organization to request new features and build test
environments for critical network topologies. • Leading the introduction and global implementation of ABB Crealizer in
engineering to enhance customization of MV drives.
Qualifications for the role
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field such as electrical or system engineering.
- You are immersed in cyber security practices and highly adept in applying the IEC 62443 standard framework.
- You possess knowledge of networking and automation engineering, with hands-on expertise in ABB MV drives portfolio.
- You have established skills in PLC software tools like Codesys and enjoy working with advanced engineering
technologies.
- You are at ease in communicating in English, any other language is an asset.
- You are passionate about collaborating across disciplines and show flexibility with a willingness to travel
occasionally.
