Local Division Health, Safety and Environment Specialist (80-100%)

For our Local Division Energy Industries located in Turgi (Switzerland) we are looking for a highly motivated,
detail-oriented and professional individual to further develop a proactive and positive occupational health & safety
culture based on ABB policies, internal and legal requirements. In this role you will be responsible to maintain and
establish the ABB specific health, safety and environment program and ensure compliance with relevant health & safety
and environment local legislation and company guidelines. Sharing best practice across the Local Division in
Switzerland as well as support the local teams in their daily business in respect to HSE issues is one the main topics
and also to ensure a positive and holistic HSE approach. We are looking for a team player who works with the local
teams as well as the vertical line to Hub and Business line organization.

Your responsibilities
- Establish, maintain and improve the ABB specific health & safety and environment program and culture and ensure the
compliance with Swiss law
- Set LD/LBL-specific HSE standards
- Ensure appropriate training, audits and support to the business
- Ensure ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification across the operations of the teams
- Investigation of HSE incidents and establish preventive and corrective actions
- Reporting of KPIs to the Management and ABB Hub and Business line
- Engage stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on ABB’s/Division HSE efforts and
performance and obtain objective feedback
- Cooperate with different business partners (local site Turgi and ABB Switzerland responsible, Business Line
Excitation HSE and Hub HSE and external business to drive HSE performance)
Your background
- Degree in HSE Management or comparable education with technical background
- Education in occupational health & safety, such as SUVA-safety assistant (Sicherheitsassistent:In) or SUVA-safety
expert (Sicherheitsfachperson) or similar (or motivation to conduct such)
- At least 2-5 years of experience as an HSE professional in a comparable international business environment,
preferably within a production environment
- Lead auditor experience and good knowledge in ISO 14001 and 45001. In addition to that an experienced in providing
Safety and Environmental trainings
- Independent, self-motivated leader with a passion for HSE work as well as strong communicator with the ability to
adjust communication to all levels within the organization
- Cultural leadership attitude to drive virtual, cross-country teams with an international mind-set
- Fluent in German and English
