    Join our dynamic Tools and Infrastructure team at Siemens and play a key role in shaping the foundation of essential
    tools and infrastructure for a global R&D organization

    As an IT Solution Architect & Systems Engineer , you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing
    IT infrastructures that support a broad range of core R&D processes, ensuring a seamless and exceptional user
    experience. You will collaborate with developer teams to optimize the developer toolchain, systems performance, and
    integration efforts

    Your new Responsibilities

    - Drive innovation: Collaborate with R&D teams, Siemens corporate IT, and external software/hardware vendors to
    evaluate and implement state-of-the-art technologies. Establish clear guidelines for IT solution evaluation tailored to
    the local organization
    - Ensure seamless operations: Oversee the installation, specification, testing, and service transition of software and
    hardware, ensuring alignment with operational needs
    - Maintain and optimize infrastructure: Manage day-to-day operations of server and network infrastructures
    (Windows/Linux, VLAN, Firewall management) to ensure system reliability and performance. Regularly assess IT systems,
    analyze performance data, and propose improvements
    - Provide expert support: Troubleshoot server and network issues, ensuring smooth operation and fast resolution of
    technical challenges
    - Enhance security and compliance: Address security and performance concerns, ensure adherence to corporate security
    standards, participate in security audits, and implement necessary changes
    - Collaborate and strategize: Work closely with corporate IT, application operations, and other teams to develop
    upgrade strategies, integrate new solutions, and drive continuous improvement

    Your Skills

    - Extensive hands-on experience in core IT infrastructure technologies:

    - Windows and/or Linux administration, including base infrastructure services (e.g., file servers, domain controllers).
    - Virtualized environments, including hosting hardware, network virtualization, and cloud-based infrastructures.
    - Network and security technologies to safeguard IT services (e.g., Cisco, Fortigate, RADIUS).

    - Strong security expertise, including vulnerability management and zero-trust architecture
    - Familiarity with developer toolchains, including Git-based CI/CD and technologies such as IBM ALM, WebSphere,
    Artifactory, and UrbanCode Deployment
    - Experience with IT/OT architectures for R&D environments and workflows, including migration strategies
    - Problem-solving mindset with the ability to assess complex systems and proactively develop solutions
    - Collaborative team player who fosters alignment and innovation across departments
    - Self-starter with a strategic mindset, project management skills, and the ability to take ownership and drive
    improvements
    - Passion for technology and a proactive approach to staying up to date with the latest industry trends
    - Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    - English is required; German is a plus
